Things we can work through together:
1
Anxiety, overwhelm and constant pressure
When your mind will not switch off or your body feels constantly on alert, even ordinary days can start to feel like too much.
Counselling can help you understand what is driving the pressure, settle your nervous system and build practical ways to feel more grounded and able to respond rather than simply react.
2
Low mood, exhaustion and disconnection
When you feel flat, stuck or distant from yourself and the people around you, it can be hard to know how to find your way back.
Counselling offers a steady place to understand what has been building, reconnect with what matters and take manageable steps towards feeling more present in your life.
3
Trauma and difficult past experiences
Difficult experiences can continue to shape how safe, connected or in control you feel long after they have passed.
Counselling provides a careful, paced space to make sense of what happened, build greater safety in the present and support healing without asking you to move faster than feels right.
4
Grief, change and life transitions
Loss, family change, work pressure, parenting, relationship shifts or uncertainty can leave you unsure where you stand.
Counselling can help you make sense of what has changed, understand your response and move forward with more clarity, steadiness and care.
5
Relationships, boundaries and self-worth
When the same patterns keep repeating, communication feels difficult or you are losing yourself in relationships, it can be hard to know what needs to change.
Counselling can help you understand relational patterns, strengthen boundaries and build more honest, respectful ways of relating to yourself and others.
This work can happen individually or together as a couple.
6
Support for children and teenagers
Children and teenagers do not always have the words for what is happening inside them.
Liz offers age-appropriate, respectful support to help younger people understand what they are feeling, build emotional tools and feel less alone in what they are navigating, while working thoughtfully with parents where appropriate.
&pause offers a calm, supportive space to slow down, understand what is happening, and build a steadier way forward.
You do not need a diagnosis, a neatly defined problem or the right words before coming to counselling.

Support shaped around you.
Counselling does not need to follow a fixed formula.
Liz takes time to understand what is happening for you, what you need and the pace that feels manageable.
Depending on what is useful, she may draw on approaches including Polyvagal Theory, Somatic Therapy, EMDR, ACT, Creative Therapy and CBT. The aim is to help you make sense of what is happening, build practical support and find ways forward that genuinely fit you.
